The White Elephant.
On Christmas day, due to the sudden fianacial support, little time, and my winter break resolution, I came up with Painting a master copy on a decent but some what generic gift. a Painting from Richard Bunkall on the outside and Kazuhiko Sano on the inside of the journal. Enjoy.

Last Weeks Update.
So last week I just finished up all the dog portraits, attended Drink and Draw's new official location and was a guess artist at Blick Art Material's Pink Ribbon Auction.
For the Dog portraits I still wanted to keep it at a lighter consistence but have the bold stroke quality of that of J.C. Leyendecker.
This time around at Drink and Draw One of the boys dropped in and brought some heavy subjects matter to the table. Politics, relationships, life. The end of the night left me at a daze. At lest Justin brought pizza and it was happy hour. Interestingly enough though, I found out that the people that run "Drink and Draw Las Vegas" are all Alumni of my high school that graduated 6 years before me.
Finally the Pink Ribbon Auction. It was fun.
...very fun.
Sadly I never got around to painting on this canvas that everyone put their 2 cents in.
I was doing this.
A pretty eventful week for an unemployed.

Grumpys Demise
So over this weekend I was freaking out about what I was going to do for Mike Biggs show
So I first started out with the Rocketeer but due to the softness of the clay, the smooth required geometry and my patience I gave up on that idea. Then when I was daydreaming about my favorite movie Dark Knight, I remembered an undermined quote.
But enough spoiling the movie. My room was a mess the second I got to the schizophrenic collage.Besides the Trials and Errors, That was about 5 hours with the Rocketeer blunder, it took about 3 hours of procrastination and 6 hours of sclupting 2 hours of assembling and and other 6 hours of having the gloss medium finish.

tentacle strange.
So starting from yesterday I began a piece I promised a friend of a girlfriend who just got married not too long ago with an associate i knew back when I worked at OfficeMax.Why? Because Trisha, the not really friends, friend, recently lend a helping hand and told me of an opportunity that didn't go so well. None-the-less I am grateful for her effort. And besides, I needed to keep my painting momentum up.
It was based off a sketch I did while I was just lounging around.

Drink and Draw
These are some drawings I did at Drink and Draw. It started out slow being that I was the only one there, but Justin and Geoffrey came around after an hour. It was just great, sketching along side people with twice the conviction to their work and still being humble. That night I worked up some concepts for a comic a buddy and I were working on since high school, and the scenery of the Bar.
And if you have to ask, yes there was a Mech Knight with huge guns walking around the bar that night, annoying striking poses at me. It was kinda creepy.

Pink Ribbon
Just yesterday I finished up my artwork for the Pink Art Auction supporting Susan G. Komen Brest Cancer Foundation. I actually had this idea for a couple of weeks but at first it felt too satirical for the subject matter. It was up until the last minute when I realized I had no other idea that amused me.

Day Hard For No Tomorrow.
(Boy, that's an eccentric title.) So here is the first blog and treat for anyone new to me. I am Brandon Lin, also (Suppose to be) known as "Karonno". Now why Is my Website cool "Poorly Run Alias?" Because I have a tough time answering to "Karonno." I either simple don't answer to it or that it feels like foreplay. But besides that and the ackward slience that follows I am also an Illustrator.
My work deals in visual narration, storyboarding, key Framing, and Etc. I have been working with acrylics, full heartedly, since Spring of 2006.
Well there were some set back until spring of 2007 when I took a dive into the Art Scene of Las Vegas, as us Desert Rats call it "First Friday." Since then I have made it my new years resolution or 5 year goal to make a living out of my works. Stick around its just about to get interesting.
