TAD Course: Composition and color 1 Part 2








As for now I am just summing up significant changes in my progress to catch with more recent event. Here Jason Manley had me continue working on this particular composition. (Following top down)First came the issue of draft versus craft of the mark making, then came the breaking of repetition with variety. And once more backing away from balance.

Sketch Blast!

Exchanging messages with an alumni about careers last Monday, I suddenly felt compelled to do what I wanted to do, without over thinking about time. Haven't done these in a while and surprising how fast I did them except Brendon and my cup of lemon, honey, ginger tea. I intend to do more...

Game UI Mock UP

With big gaps of time inbetween freelancing and job searching, I decided to do a mock up of a game UI, if I was going to do my version of Leagues of Legends. Templating from the format I studyed the intense colors, contents, fillers and placment of the in-game UI of Leagues of Legends and adapted it to my own design, of a Steam punk/ Art Deco direction. Here is the assembled UI.

And here is the original content. Considering how many of the content would be very small, I focused on contrast of color, form, and saturation.





Only now do I realize I just made a old version of Jack from " Jack and Dexter" series.
